BMWMCC is engaging First Aid for Motorcyclists™ (FAFM™) to run their First Aid for Motorcyclists Crash Management Training for Group Rides on Sunday 9 November 2025, at Michelago Memorial Hall, for 15-25 financial Club Members.

It’s a hands-on, interactive training course, developed specifically for motorcyclists who want to acquire, or refresh, first aid skills in a supportive, group setting. It teaches the vital skills necessary to render immediate roadside first aid at a motorcycle crash scene, as well as how to effectively manage an accident scene until emergency services arrive. Trainers are motorcyclists who are also qualified, experienced first aid instructors.

Semi-regular and regular Club riders are encouraged to consider participating in this training.

The course, which is  non-accredited (i.e. no formal first aid certification is issued to participants that can be used within a workplace environment), is the same course that FAFM™ offers across Australia and which some State Government/Local Council Road Safety Programs subsidise participant costs as part of motorcycle safety initiatives.

For more information see:

https://www.fafm.org.au/home

Course Venue: Google Maps

Participant Co-contribution: $40, payable within 14 days of event registration to secure your placement. This $40 co-contribution is non-refundable*.

Note: *BMWMCC is significantly subsidising participant costs.

Due to the nature of this training course, participant numbers are restricted to 15-25 financial Club members and there is NO walk-in option available on the day.

Course requirements:

  • Bring yourself and your usual riding gear (you’ll be wearing this for parts of the course).
  • No need to bring your bike as these are parked up for the course, so arriving on 2, 3 or 4-wheels is fine.
  • There is no pre-course online work/assessment!

Any questions, then email rides@bmwmcc.au

Cheers

Karen
