COVID-19, RALLY UPDATE #3
16 September 2020
The Club has reached the 60 person campers allowed under its permit for the 39th Kosciuskzo Rally. If you have not registered and paid, then you are not covered by the Club's camping permit.
Registration
Rally registration is now closed but day trippers are still welcome or you can join the wait list for if someone cancels. Refundable cancellations will be possible up to 2 October and after that only if NSW Health or NSW National Parks direct the rally site be closed.
If you have not registered for the rally, paid and been receipted please do not come to the rally (unless you are a day tripper) or invite any other person who has not registered to camp under the 60 person permit. The 60 person limit is set by and non-negotiable with NSWNPWS and based on a 1 person / 4m2 at Geehi Flats (not how many tents can fit there). NPWS Rangers have the power to give directions and issue fines under the NSW COVID-19 Health Direction.
Camping
Each pre-paid registrant will be allocated to one camping permit spot (60). The Club is not going to tell you who to camp with, but there are designated camping areas at Geehi and some are booked by the general public, so be respectful. If NSWNPWS Rangers do a head count, the Club will provide the names of 60 registrants and their sponsor (a Club member) , anyone else is responsible for themselves. The Club would like to have a 40th rally in 2021 and uncapped, so please do not jeopardise the Club relationship with National Parks.
